The rainy season (May-October) brings its own magic — fewer crowds, lower prices, and those dramatic afternoon thunderstorms that clear to reveal the most spectacular sunsets. The flower season (December-February) paints the valleys in brilliant colors, while coffee harvest time (October-February) fills the air with the rich aroma of fresh beans drying in highland courtyards.

What many visitors don't realize is that Da Lat's elevation at 1,500 meters creates microclimates throughout the city. Ward 1 by the lake can be 3-4 degrees cooler than Ward 8's flower markets. Pack layers — morning fog might require a jacket, while afternoon sun calls for shorts.
