In a swift response to the recent trash crisis, the city of Da Lat has managed to clear a significant backlog of waste that had accumulated over two days. According to sources, the near 1,000 tons of trash that had piled up in various parts of the city, including the popular Xuan Hương ward, have been collected and transported to a processing facility. This comes as a relief to both locals and tourists, who had to endure the unpleasant sight and smell of overflowing trash.

Trần Thị Vũ Loan, Chairwoman of the Xuan Hương ward People's Committee, played a key role in negotiating with the waste management company to resume operations. The crisis began when the Da Lat waste processing plant, operated by Cong ty Moi Truong Nang Luong Xanh, temporarily ceased accepting trash due to a financial dispute. As a result, trash collection services were severely disrupted, leading to the accumulation of waste in public areas.

The city's Phan Bội Châu and Nguyễn Chí Thanh streets, usually bustling with tourists, were among the worst affected. Fortunately, with the plant now operational again, the city can breathe a sigh of relief. As Trần Hùng Sơn, Chairman of the Xuan Trường ward People's Committee, noted, the city is working to prevent such incidents from happening in the future.

For now, Da Lat can focus on welcoming visitors and showcasing its natural beauty, from the Lake Xuan Huong to the Crazy House. The community is grateful for the prompt action taken to resolve the crisis, and we look forward to enjoying our city's usual charm and cleanliness.
