In a dramatic turn of events, Đèo Bảo Lộc, a crucial pass connecting Lâm Đồng to other provinces, was temporarily closed after a container truck plummeted into a ravine.
According to sources, the incident occurred on June 20, with the truck falling approximately 30 meters. Fortunately, thanks to the swift response of the authorities and rescue teams, the pass was reopened after more than 2 hours of rescue efforts. As a local, it's not uncommon to hear about accidents on this pass, given its winding roads and steep cliffs.
However, the prompt action taken by the traffic police and rescue teams is a testament to their dedication to ensuring the safety of travelers. The closure of the pass caused a significant buildup of traffic, with vehicles stretching over 10 kilometers on both sides of the pass.
