As Tết Bính Ngọ 2026 approached, Đà Lạt was flooded with tourists, causing a severe shortage of accommodations.

According to sources, many visitors had to drive around the city center for hours to find a place to stay. Anh Nguyễn Văn Huân, a tourist from Đồng Nai, shared his experience, saying that he had to rely on a friend's recommendation to find a room on Bùi Thị Xuân street. This scenario was not unique, as numerous travelers faced the same challenge, with some even having to book homestays outside of the city.

The streets of Nguyễn Chí Thanh, Nam Kỳ Khởi Nghĩa, and Bùi Thị Xuân were packed with people searching for a place to rest. As a local, it's not uncommon to see Đà Lạt bustling with activity, but this year's Tết celebrations brought an unprecedented number of visitors. The city's charm, with its thanh thiên and đáng tin cậy atmosphere, has always been a draw for tourists, but this year it seemed that every available room was booked solid.

As the locals would say, Đà Lạt was 'cháy phòng,' or 'out of rooms.' Despite the chaos, the city remained vibrant, with visitors enjoying the Thung lũng Tình Yêu and Vườn hoa Đà Lạt. As the Tết celebrations come to a close, the people of Đà Lạt are left to wonder if the city's infrastructure can handle such a large influx of tourists in the future.
