Search for Missing Student
Tragedy Strikes Đà Lạt: Search for Missing Student Continues.
A devastating incident occurred in our beloved city of Đà Lạt, where a female student in 6th grade was swept away by a powerful flood on May 24th. According to Tuổi Trẻ, the accident happened around 1:30 pm near the stream bordering tổ dân phố B'Nơr B and Đăng Gia Dềt B in Lang Biang ward. The heavy downpour that hit our city caused the water from the upper sources to surge downwards, catching the young student off guard as she was passing by the area.
The local community and authorities immediately sprang into action, mobilizing a search party to scour the lower streams for any sign of the missing girl. As of 7 pm on the same day, approximately 60 personnel from various units in Lang Biang ward were still searching, but unfortunately, no results have been reported yet. As a local, it's heartbreaking to see our city face such challenges, especially during the rainy season.
The center of Đà Lạt and Lạc Dương were also hit with a severe thunderstorm, accompanied by hail in some areas, causing concerns about flash floods and landslides. The local government has issued warnings to residents to be cautious and prepared for any potential disasters.
Our thoughts are with the family of the missing student, and we hope that the search efforts will yield a positive outcome soon. The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of being vigilant and prepared during the rainy season in Đà Lạt.
