Waste Management Crisis Hits Đà Lạt Amid Peak Tourism Season.

According to sources, the usually pristine streets of Đà Lạt have been marred by overflowing rubbish, with Xuân Hưng, Lâm Viên, Cam Ly, and Langbiang areas being particularly affected. The sight of trash-filled bins and litter-strewn roads has become all too common, leaving both locals and tourists alike to wonder what's behind this sudden surge in waste. As one resident noted, 'It's not just an eyesore, but also a health concern, especially with the summer heat and rainy season approaching.' The city's waste management company reportedly stopped accepting trash at the Đà Lạt Waste Treatment Plant on June 13, citing technical issues.

This has resulted in a backlog of uncollected waste, with trash collection trucks being forced to wait in line for hours, sometimes even overnight, to dispose of their loads. 'We're doing our best to clear the backlog, but it's a challenging situation,' said a spokesperson for the waste management company. As the city struggles to cope with the waste management crisis, locals are calling for a more sustainable solution to the problem.

'We need to find a way to reduce waste, increase recycling, and improve our waste management infrastructure,' said a local business owner. 'It's not just about keeping our city clean, but also about preserving the natural beauty of Đà Lạt for future generations.'
