A Theater Awakens in Đà Lạt's Heart

For years, locals walking through central Đà Lạt have passed by the familiar Hòa Bình Theater, a silent monument to the city's cultural past. But on the evening of March 21st, something magical happened—the venue blazed with lights and music once again, hosting an extraordinary chamber music exchange between Đà Lạt and South Korea's Daegu city.

According to Tuổi Trẻ, the concert brought together an impressive lineup of international musicians, including members of the Daegu International Symphony Orchestra alongside artists from Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music. The evening also featured local children in a special choir performance, creating a truly intergenerational musical celebration.

What made this event particularly meaningful wasn't just the caliber of performers—including Korean cellist Kim Yujin, violinist Koo Jieun, trumpeter Kim Yong Su, soprano Kim Taein, and baritone Ahn Sungkook—but the venue itself. The event was organized by PHỐ BÊN ĐỒI, the creative space established in Đà Lạt since 2016, as part of their ongoing music project. This collaboration with Daegu demonstrates how Đà Lạt is actively engaging with the global creative network, bringing world-class performances to our doorstep while showcasing our city's growing cultural significance.
