Da Lat Road Repair
Relief for Commuters: Da Lat's Bidoup Road to be Repaired.
According to Tuổi Trẻ, the province of Lam Dong has allocated nearly 20 billion VND to fix the severely damaged Bidoup road, a crucial route connecting Da Lat to Nha Trang. This move comes after months of deterioration, which has caused significant disruptions to locals and tourists alike. The road's condition has been a major concern, with four points of severe landslides, each spanning 20-30 meters, occupying nearly half of the road's surface.
As a result, vehicles have been forced to navigate through narrow passages, often having to yield to oncoming traffic. The situation has been particularly challenging for residents of Lang Biang and Lạc Dương, who rely on this road for daily commutes. Local authorities have been working tirelessly to find a solution, and with the newly allocated funds, repairs are expected to commence shortly.
The plan involves constructing retaining walls, reinforcing the road's foundation with geotechnical grids, replacing the asphalt surface, and installing a new drainage system. While this news brings relief to the community, it also highlights the importance of infrastructure maintenance in Da Lat.
As our city continues to grow and attract more visitors, it's essential that we prioritize the upkeep of our roads to ensure safe and smooth travel for all. With the repair work set to begin in June 2026, residents and visitors can look forward to a safer and more convenient journey through this scenic route.
