Provincial Leaders Honor Đà Lạt's Sanitation Heroes on New Year's Eve
A Heartwarming Gesture on New Year's Eve
In the crisp mountain air of New Year's Eve, as most Đà Lạt residents gathered with family for Tết celebrations, a special group of unsung heroes continued their vital work keeping our beloved city pristine. According to Thanh Niên, provincial Party Secretary Y Thanh Hà Niê Kđăm took time from his own holiday preparations on February 16 to personally visit and honor 40 sanitation workers who remained on duty during the holiday.
Recognition for Essential Workers
The touching visit included 30 sanitation workers from Đà Lạt Urban Services Joint Stock Company and 10 workers from the Đà Lạt Market Management Board. These dedicated individuals braved the cold mountain weather and worked overtime shifts to ensure our city remained spotless during one of the busiest tourist periods of the year.
"We deeply appreciate the spirit of responsibility shown by our staff and workers during Tết Bình Ngọ," the Party Secretary noted, according to the report. "Despite the cold weather and increased workload, they ensure environmental cleanliness throughout Đà Lạt's central wards."
Keeping Đà Lạt's Beauty Intact
For those of us who call Đà Lạt home, we understand how crucial this work is. During Tết, our narrow streets around the central market and popular tourist areas like Xuân Hương Lake become packed with visitors. The dedicated sanitation teams work through the night, ensuring that when dawn breaks over our pine-covered hills, the city awakens clean and welcoming.
The provincial leader emphasized that thanks to these workers' dedication, "Đà Lạt continues to be maintained clean and beautiful, remaining an attractive destination for domestic and international tourists."
A Community That Cares
This gesture reflects the special character of our mountain city – where leaders take time to personally thank those who keep Đà Lạt's natural beauty complemented by urban cleanliness. As we enter the new lunar year, these sanitation workers remind us that maintaining our city's reputation as the "City of Eternal Spring" requires year-round dedication from our entire community.
