Hello everyone,
There’s a lovely idea from Vietnamese members in Life in Đà Lạt - to gather and share traditional Vietnamese Tết with international friends and Vietnamese far from home, like one big family. (As you may know, Tết is the biggest holiday in Vietnam.)
We’d love to open a warm Tết space where, no matter where you come from, you can feel like you’re “coming home”.
It will be a simple Vietnamese-family-style gathering: wrapping 'bánh chưng', cooking traditional dishes from the North, Central, and South of Vietnam, wearing 'áo dài' or 'áo bà ba' (optional), giving lucky money (lì xì), playing a few Tết games, then sitting around the pot of bánh chưng, chatting n' music playing. If you’d like, you’re welcome to camp overnight while waiting for 'bánh chưng' to be cooked 🎉
Tentative time:
1pm Feb 14 – 12pm Feb 15 (overnight camping is optional).
Big thanks to chị @Sofia and @Hải for this beautiful idea 🥰❤️
