Dalat Lake Revitalized
In a move to harmonize preservation and development, the Lam Dong Province People's Committee, led by Chairman dinh Van Tuấn, has initiated a review of the Hồ Xuân Hương di tích (Xuan Huong Lake) dossier.
According to sources, the aim is to create a legal framework for the lake's conservation and development, balancing the need to protect this natural wonder with the demands of economic growth and urbanization. As a beloved landmark in the heart of Đà Lạt, Hồ Xuân Hương has been a national-level scenic spot since 1988, attracting tourists and locals alike with its serene beauty. However, the original scientific dossier from 1988 reportedly does not align with the 1997 decision by the Lam Dong Province People's Committee, which defined the boundaries of the lake's protected areas.
This discrepancy has led to concerns about the lake's conservation and the impact of surrounding development on its ecosystem. As Chairman dinh Van Tuấn noted, the goal is to find a balance between preserving the lake's natural beauty and allowing for sustainable development.
For the people of Đà Lạt, Hồ Xuân Hương is more than just a scenic spot - it's a symbol of the city's charm and character. As the review process moves forward, the community remains hopeful that the lake will continue to thrive as a vibrant part of Đà Lạt's landscape.
