Duong Hong Thach a étudié l'interprétation pianistique aux niveaux intermédiaire et universitaire à l'Académie nationale de musique du Vietnam sous la direction du professeur agrégé Dr. Nguyen Huy Phuong à partir de 2007. En 2015, après avoir obtenu son diplôme universitaire au Vietnam, il a poursuivi une maîtrise en interprétation pianistique à l'Académie de musique Gnessine en Fédération de Russie, dont il a été diplômé en 2018.
