Provincial Chairman Surveys Mui Ne Development Plans Along Route 706B
Provincial Leadership Reviews Major Development Project
Lam Dong Province Chairman Ho Van Muoi led a comprehensive inspection of land plots along Route 706B (Vo Nguyen Giap Road) in Mui Ne Ward this week, examining areas earmarked for major commercial and social development projects.
According to Thanh Nien, the provincial delegation included four vice-chairmen and seven department directors who surveyed both sides of the strategic coastal road that connects Mui Ne, Ham Tien, and Phu Hai areas in Phan Thiet, Binh Thuan Province.
Ambitious Development Plans Underway
Local officials reported that seven land plots totaling over 810 hectares are currently being prepared for public auction to select investors for commercial and service development projects. The scale of this initiative reflects the province's commitment to developing the coastal tourism corridor that has become increasingly important to the region's economy.
"These developments will significantly impact tourism flows between Dalat and the coastal areas," as many visitors to our mountain city often continue their journey to Mui Ne's beaches, making this a crucial transportation and tourism link.
Social Housing and Infrastructure Focus
Perhaps most significantly for local residents, nearly 100 hectares have been reserved specifically for social housing projects and public infrastructure including healthcare facilities, educational institutions, and community welfare centers. This allocation demonstrates the province's commitment to balanced development that serves both tourism and local community needs.
Challenges Ahead
However, the auction process faces complications. According to local government reports cited by Thanh Nien, land clearance issues remain unresolved, with some households occupying or re-occupying portions of the designated areas. These encroachment issues must be addressed before any auction can proceed.
For Dalat residents and businesses involved in coastal tourism, these developments along Route 706B represent a significant infrastructure investment that could enhance the mountain-to-sea tourism experience that many of our visitors seek.
