Frustration Mounts as Quốc Lộ 28B Upgrade Faces Delays.

As a crucial route connecting Đà Lạt to Phan Thiết, the upgrade of Quốc Lộ 28B has been a long-awaited project for locals and travelers alike. However, according to Tuổi Trẻ, despite nearing completion, certain sections of the road remain unfinished, causing frustration for commuters. One such section is at Km21, where the road is still littered with dirt and rocks, forcing vehicles to slow down.

Anh Nguyễn Quốc Phong, a regular user of the road, expressed his disappointment at the slow progress, citing that other more complex sections have been completed much sooner. The delay is attributed to the discovery of hard rock during excavation, which has damaged machinery and hindered the construction process. Lê Văn Chung, Deputy Director of the Central Region Road Project Management Board, assures that additional machinery has been brought in to expedite the process, with a projected completion date by the end of June.

As the road is a vital link between Đà Lạt and the coastal town of Phan Thiết, its upgrade is eagerly anticipated by the local community. With the onset of the rainy season, concerns about landslides and road safety are heightened, especially in areas like đèo Đại Ninh. The community looks forward to the timely completion of this project, which will not only improve connectivity but also enhance the safety and convenience of travel for all who use this essential route.
