After years of anticipation, Đà Lạt residents and visitors may soon have a new route to our beloved mountain city. According to Thanh Niên, construction crews are racing to complete the final kilometers of National Highway 28B, particularly the challenging bridges crossing Đại Ninh Pass.
The project has reached a significant milestone, with 83% of the contract value now complete. Lê Viết Chung, Deputy Director of the Central Road Project Management Board, reports that the highway is essentially finished from Km0 to Km68, representing approximately 914 billion of the total 1.106 trillion VND investment.
Progress on the Mountain Approach
What's particularly encouraging for those of us who regularly navigate the winding routes to Đà Lạt is the progress on the asphalt concrete surfacing. Nearly 60 kilometers of the 68-kilometer route now has its final road surface, a crucial step that will determine the driving experience for countless tourists and locals.
