A special music program, organized by the Phố Bên Đồi (Creative Studio) in collaboration with the UNESCO Office in Vietnam, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lam Dong Province, the Daegu Metropolitan City Representative Office, and local partners, will bring artists from the Daegu International Symphony Orchestra (DISO) to perform at the Hoa Binh Theater – Dalat on March 21, 2026.
The event features seven members of the Daegu International Symphony Orchestra visiting Dalat as part of South Korea’s annual cultural exchange program. Each year, this initiative sends artists to various Southeast Asian and Asian countries to foster cultural and artistic connections between South Korea and the world. Joining them for this performance are five leading Vietnamese pianists and violinists from the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music.
Strengthening International Ties: The arrival of DISO members in Dalat marks a significant milestone for Phố Bên Đồi in its mission to establish Dalat as a premier destination for classical music through international-standard events. UNESCO Creative Cities Network: Phố Bên Đồi and its partners are actively helping Dalat fulfill its international commitments after joining the UNESCO Creative Cities Network in the field of music. Notably, Daegu is also a UNESCO-recognized Creative City of Music. This shared status opens up numerous opportunities for future connection and cooperation between the two cities.
