Nhà Chim Ri, it’s ten o’clock,
A chair pulled out, a gentle knock.
Annie waves us through the door,
Someone says, “There’s room for more.”
Cake crumbs gathering on a plate,
Nobody asking why we’re late.
Steam unwinds above the cup,
We sit down and loosen up.
Morning sunlight warm outside,
Good company here inside.
Coffee first and plants to follow,
Leave a little room for tomorrow.
Nothing much we have to do—
Save a chair and pour for two.
There’s a plant shop down the street,
We can drive or use our feet.
Finish what is in your cup,
The little green things won’t pack up.
Come for coffee, stay for cake,
Take whatever time you take.
Annie’s looking for a pot—
Friendship’s what the morning’s got.
Morning sunlight warm outside,
Good company here inside.
